Indian Corporate Cricket League - (ICCL)

The objective of this initiative is to give opportunities to Sports enthusiasts in Corporate Offices to come together as teams, boost employee morale and also to provide these Sports enthusiasts with an opportunity to showcase their Sporting abilities for their respective organizations. The League will also seek to promote increased levels of Health, Fitness and Physical activity amongst the corporate workforce of its institutional members.

The First edition of the Indian Corporate Cricket League witnessed approximately 60 participating teams across 4 states i.e., Delhi – NCR, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra (Mumbai & Pune). All matches were played in a T10 format and on weekends. The tournament culminated with each of these State winners competing at the National Finals with N Ranga Rao Sons team emerging as the overall winners of ICCL season 1.

Under the aegis of the CII National Committee on Sports - the first edition of the Indian Corporate Cricket League was organised from April – June 2023. The limited overs league organised covering Delhi - NCR, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra (Mumbai + Pune) and Karnataka in a T10 and T20 format was played amongst the 55+ participating teams. After the completion of all tournaments in the states, the league culminated with the National Finals in Gurgaon in June.

The tournament was a roaring success and received good feedback from the participating teams. More than 55 corporate teams from diverse industries participated in the tournament. These teams consisted of employees who shared a passion for cricket and sought to engage in friendly competition outside of their work commitments. The season featured thrilling matches with teams competing fiercely on the cricket field. The matches were played in a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, reflecting the core values of the ICCL. The tournament not only provided a platform for showcasing cricketing skills but also encouraged networking and team building among the corporate participants.

The National Finals were organised in Gurugram at the Wisteria Sports Club, Baliawas, from June 8th, 2023 onwards till 10th June 2023 in a Day / Night Format. The participating teams were - Good Luck Heroes (Good Luck India), Schwing Super Kings (Schwing Stetter), Bluestar, Zetwerk (Zetwerk Technologies) and N Ranga Rao n Sons.

N Ranga Rao n Sons from Mysore emerged as the Champions and Zetwerk Technologies from Bengaluru as the Runner-Up in the first edition of the Indian Corporate Cricket League.

The successful conclusion of the first season of ICCL marked the beginning of a new tradition in corporate sports in India. It underlined the importance of work-life balance and the power of sports in bringing professionals together. The season's success also paved the way for future editions of the ICCL, promising more exciting cricketing action and opportunities for corporate professionals to connect through the love of the game.
